Self Reflection in 6 steps🪞
One effective method I've discovered for improving my mentality is self-reflection. Self-reflection is an ongoing process where you stimulate personal growth by reviewing aspects of your day, your week, or your overall life.🗓️
Self-Re·flec·tion: meditation or serious thought about one's character, actions, and motives.
I once struggled with uncertainty about reaching goals, I felt very hopeless and disheartened. At that crossroads, I honestly thought about just giving up and surrendering to a mundane existence. But what I lacked then was the understanding of how to be present, listen to my inner voice, and engage in Self-Reflection.🧘
On that day however, I knew with every fiber of my being that I couldn't give up. I still had unfinished tasks and people to meet. My responsibility to God and my bloodline fuels my determination.
Despite constantly distracting myself, a conscious decision to trust my intuition, reflect, and learn gradually took root after I hit rock-bottom. Before that my patterns of self-doubt manifested in relationships and failed attempts at goals I set for myself.
In retrospect, my indecisiveness stemmed from a lack of trust in my instincts and a failure to recognize genuine priorities, often resulting in fear-based decisions, all I did was escape. Through reflection, I've come to realize that my inner voice consistently holds very valuable insights. 🗣️
In the midst of our busy lives, finding time for self-reflection is vital for learning and growth. It enables us to build upon successes, breaking free from self-doubt and embracing our true purpose for a fulfilling life. ⛓️💥
It's crucial to clarify that self-reflection doesn't entail dwelling on negative past experiences. Revisiting the past unproductively or fixating on the future is equally detrimental. 🆘
While we can't alter the past, we can use self-compassion to reflect and learn in the present. ✍️
The 6 steps 👣 👣 👣 👣 👣 👣
1. Dedicate time for self-reflection, choosing a quiet space to be alone with your thoughts.
2. Listen to your inner voice by writing down thoughts or engaging in activities like walking or meditation.
3. Allow your thoughts to flow without attempting to control them, tuning in to the messages they convey.
4. Trust the guidance provided by reflection, even if it doesn't offer concrete evidence for your choices.
5. Reflect consistently, even during positive phases, to release hidden stresses and discover keys to personal growth.
6. Read Step 5 Again.
With practice, your confidence will grow, and you'll appreciate the quiet moments of reflection as valuable opportunities for personal development. By looking back, we can gain insights into our lives, ultimately paving the way for a more purposeful future. Self-reflection is a potent and liberating experience that smoothens life's challenges, enhances happiness, and facilitates the manifestation of becoming who we are meant to be. ⬆️🏅💼🏆📈
